Hinsey Brown Funeral Services
Kevin D. Brown, native of New Castle, and a 1986 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School attended BSU and graduated in 1991 from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science at Xavier University. Kevin is the owner of Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and Knightstown.
He serves as the Vice President of ICAP Board of Directors for 2012, Kevin is also a member of the Advisory Board for Foster Grandparent Program. He serves on the board of directors of the First Apostolic Church in New Castle. His hobbies include singing, playing trumpet and piano and camping with family
Kevin is married to Cindy (Rhoten, formerly of Greenwood) and they have two children, Evan and Olivia.
Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Director
Chris May, executive director of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, is a native of Rushville, Indiana and has been involved in sports and communication from his days at Rushville Consolidated High School.
Previous to his position at the Hall of Fame, he was producer of 1070 The Fan’s “Dan Dakich Show.” Chris was heavily involved at DePauw University’s WGRE radio station while it was ranked the #1 student radio station in the country by the Princeton Review and served as its’ sports director.
He was hired by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in June 2009 at the age of 26 and is now in his 7th year in his position overseeing the day-to-day operation of the organization and their 14,000 square foot museum in New Castle.
He lives in New Castle with his three-year-old pit-bull rescue, Derk.

Cara Taylor is a lifelong resident of Henry County and began her career in real estate in 2004 where she began working in residential property management. She graduated in 2007 with a bachelors degree in Residential Property Management from Ball State University. After managing apartment communities in Indianapolis, Cara then earned her real estate sales license in 2012 and is now enjoying her true passion, which is selling real estate.

Myra Strobel has been with The Geo Group, Inc. at the New Castle Correctional Facility since August of 2009. She serves as the Litigation Liaison, Public Information Officer, and is a member of the Executive Team as the Warden's Assistant. She graduated from Ball State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology and in 2008 with a Master of Public Administration degree, with a concentration in the field of Criminal Justice.

Melissa is a 1993 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and a 2017 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Human Resource Specialization. She has worked at Henry County REMC since 2006, working in various positions, most recently, is the Manager of Customer Service & Billing. She is a member of the New Castle Noon Optimist, where she also serves as the Secretary for the Board.
Melissa and her husband Donnie are both life-long residents of Henry County. They have been married 24 years. Melissa enjoys reading, traveling, and supporting Donnie in his tractor pulling hobby.
Dave Nantz is the owner of Nantz Photography and Chief Brand Officer for Jack’s Donuts. He graduated from New Castle High School and attended the Ohio Institute of Photography from which he graduated in 2002. Dave serves as President of the Historic Preservation Commission and is vice-president of the City of New Castle Parks Board. He is a board member of the City of New Castle Police Merit Board and New Castle MainStreet. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa and his two daughters, Halston and Kathryn.

Rebecca Gonya a Texas native has been a member of the New Castle community for 17-plus years. She currently co-owns the New Castle Big O Tires Franchise with her husband Chris. Rebecca is also a team member at State Farm where she assists with the coordination of the agency's marketing efforts, project management, and strategic planning. Prior to operating her business she worked 13 years for Cox Communications in the telecommunications industry with a focus in sales and service. She has served on the Henry County Pregnancy Center Board as Vice President, and on the Board for First Christian Church. She enjoys volunteering her time and has been active serving as President of several parent teacher organizations including the Indiana Academy Parent Organization, New Castle High School Parent/Teacher Organization, Westwood Elementary Parent/Teacher Organization, and MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers. These roles have allowed her to give back to the organizations and community that have provided her with a wonderful place to raise her family.
Rebecca has been married for 25-plus years. She and her husband have three sons: Riley, Brenden,and Joshua. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
CINDI KINERCindi Kiner is a human resources consultant with several years of experience in employee and manager training, human resource management, recruiting, staffing and supervision, organizational development, safety, and benefit plan analysis and administration. Working at Greenwalt Corporation for over fifteen years, she served as office manager before holding the title of Director of Administration, where she performed all of the human resource functions for the 200+ employees of the parent company and its assisted living facilities. In 2006 she founded The HR Connection, LLC, and has worked as a consultant with companies in a wide variety of industries. Her experience in dealing with employees on the front line as well as executives in the board room is extensive. Her varied responsibilities have given her the opportunity to see how businesses operate from the inside, and have helped to develop her overall business acumen. Cindi received her Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2006. She completed the Senior Human Resource Professional (SPHR) requirements in 2007, and carries a producer’s license for life, health and accident insurance. She and her husband are active in their church and currently serve in an educational capacity for new members, where Cindi is also involved in music ministry. She also serves on the Henry County Relay for Life committee as the online chairperson, and coordinates her church team’s efforts in the annual event.

Michelle Leonard is a native to Knightstown and returned after attending Butler University. She previously worked for the Hancock County Community Foundation for five years as the Advancement Officer. Michelle is actively involved in YPii (Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana), member of Tri Kappa-Alpha Zeta Chapter, WIBU-Henry County chapter president, and volunteering for various organizations. In 2016, she was hired as the Development and Marketing Director at the Henry County Community Foundation.

Vickie is a 1990 graduate of Blue River Valley High School and a 1992 graduate of Vincennes University where she earned an Associates Degree in the Paralegal/Legal Assistant program. She has worked at First Merchants, formerly Ameriana Bank, for 24 years; working in various positions, most recently, in the Mortgage Consultant position. Vickie has one daughter; Alyssa. Vickie enjoys drawing, painting and watching her daughter's sporting events.
COREY MURPHYCorey Murphy serves as the President of the New Castle - Henry County Economic Development Corporation. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Evansville and has successfully completed the Indiana Economic Development Course at Ball State University and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. Murphy serves as a board member for the Indiana Economic Development Association and is a member of the International Economic Development Council. He resides in New Castle with his wife and three sons.

CHRISTY TOMPKINSChristy graduated from Alexandria Monroe High School in Alexandria, IN and from Muncie School of Practical Nursing before she began her career in the health care field as an LPN. She later graduated from Indiana School of Nursing Home Administration and attended both Indiana University East and IVTC to obtain her degree as a Registered Nurse. Christy has worked as a nurse at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN and at HCMH. She has been the director of nursing at two nursing homes and has been a nursing home administrator since 1981. In 1987 she opened Oakwood at HCMH. She then returned to nursing in 1994 as a hospice nurse. She found that she missed working in a nursing home and went back to administration. Christy has worked at Heritage House of New Castle for 8 1/2 yrs.
Christy is married to Jack Tompkins Jr. and she has four sons and a step son. She has 15 grandchildren, 8 boys & 7 girls. She has one child at home, a Black German Sheppard, named Yancy Derringer, 2 yrs. old, very spoiled. Yancy thinks he's a lap dog at approx. 100lbs. Christy loves to read, mostly mysteries and spend time with her husband going to antique auctions. She collects antique hats, purses, & jewelry.

MAYOR GREG YORKGreg York was born in New Castle and graduated from New Castle High School. He is married, the father of two sons, and a grandfather. Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug Greg worked from the ground up and is currently the owner/manager of a local vault company. An avid sports enthusiast, he can frequently be seen at IU home games as well as local sporting events. He is an active member of the Foursquare Gospel Church. As Mayor, Greg has plans to fix what's broken, encourage dedicated employees, and build on the community's strengths which are countless.

I would like to introduce myself to all the members as the new Executive Director of our Chamber of Commerce. My name is Shaun DuFault, and I have been a resident of New Castle since November 2017. I will be celebrating this coming May, twenty years of marriage to my wife, Vicki. We have six children with the ages ranging from fifteen to one.
I am excited to be given the challenge to fill the shoes of Missy Modesitt. Though this will be a huge endeavor, I believe with your assistance (and a lot of help from Mary) that the transition will be fairly smooth. In order to accomplish such a task, I would like the opportunity to interact and answer questions you may have of me or the Chamber. Please feel free to call and set an appointment (location and time) that would be convenient for you, or simply stop by the office and say “hello,” if your schedule permits.
