Just as winter gives way to spring and spring gives way to summer, I am reminded that we live and do business in a great place. It’s easy for us to lose sight of the positives in our day-to-day lives.

Step back. Look around you. Enjoy where you are. You are in a good place and that is imminently evident in this edition of Chamber Magazine.  For example, you’ll read about the Henry County Saddle Club. They host bull riding and barrel racing, rodeos and riding clinics. Or there is the growing Henry Co. Farmers Market, now in its fifth year, which has created a uniquely local venue to buy and sell homespun products.

You live in a place where crime is well below the state average, where housing is less expensive than most any other place, and where accessibility to state highways and Interstates is easy. There are great restaurants and recreation just a stone’s throw away.

You can visit Baker Park, Lowe Park, and Osborne Park during your leisure time in New Castle or check out The Native American mound, which is located next to New Castle High School.

There is no shortage of things to do in Henry County in the springtime. All you have to do is take the time and enjoy!
