Volunteer meetings will be scheduled periodically between now and September 25. We will use the email address that you included in your registration as a means of communication.
Location
The Torch Relay will start in downtown Knightstown at 4:30pm on Sunday September 25, 2016. From there it will travel east on US 40 turning north on SR 3. It will take a turn east onto CR 400 S, north on Main Street, west on Parkside Drive/Trojan Lane, make a quick stop in the largest and finest fieldhouse in the world before continuing back to SR 3, onto Bundy Avenue to Main Street, making a western turn onto Garner Street, a northern turn onto SR 3 before ending at the Henry County Saddle Club. There will be 19 stops along the route where we will need to station volunteers to assist as we change torchbearers. Several activities are being planned in conjunction with the Torch Relay. There will be something for everyone!
Fees/Admission
There is absolutely no cost to be a part of this countywide celebration!

The Indiana Bicentennial Commission has planned a statewide Torch Relay this Fall. The torch will pass through Henry County on Sunday, September 25, 2016 and we want to create a county wide celebration! WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! By completing this registration, you will be included in future communication about volunteer opportunities. We look forward to working with you.
